Spare Parts & Services

Hans Weber Spare Parts

Weber are able to supply “Original” or “Replacement” spare parts for all extruders they have manufactured, whether it be an electrical fuse or a complete gearbox they have the machine records to be able to keep your machine in operation.

Weber manufacture all gears and pinions for the gearboxes themselves and although they have ongoing development to improve the torque and drive efficiency they can still supply gears and pinions for any extruder they have made.

Barrel and Screws

With over €1,000,000 worth of Barrels and Screws “In Stock” Weber can supply processing units which will keep your machine running, they have many different geometry of screws in stock which means no long lead times and machine stoppages or expensive stock holding for customers.

 Hans Weber Wear Protection

Weber have developed effective protection measures against the three most important types of wear : • Abrasive wear (mechanical abrasion) • Corrosive wear (chemical reactions) • Adhesive wear (frictional abrasion)                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Barrels

Twin screw parallel

• Standard : Nitration • Optional : Bi-metalic barrel with different wear protection layers (e,g, tungsten carbide upto 2mm of usable wear protection layer.

Twin screw conical

• Standard : Nitration • Optional : Bi-metalic barrel with different wear protection layers (e,g, vanadium carbide upto 2mm of usable wear protection layer.

Single screw

• Standard : Nitration with grooved bush in bi-metalic (standard from NE7 series) • Optional : Bi-metalic barrel with different wear protection layers over the entire active processing area (e,g, tungsten carbide upto 2mm of usable wear protection layer.

Screws

Twin screw parallel • Standard : Nitration for sizes 7. 8 and 9 • Standard from sizes 11, profiles armour plated with tungston carbide, core and flanks are nitrated. • Optional : profiles armour plated with tungston carbide or vanadium carbide, core and flanks are coated with wear protection layers (e.g. tungston carbide)..

Twin screw conical

WWP® (Hans Weber Wear Protection)

The WWP® process was developed by Weber to make extrusion screws even more resistant to the most common forms of wear. The surface of the screws is armour plated with a special arc or laser welding process to make them resistant to the highest stresses. Weber generally recommend the WWP® alloy for all types of extrusion. The approx. 1mm thick armour plating is factory standard from the series 9 extruder.

Screw Refurbishment

Weber offer their customers the facility to refurbish their existing screws (dependent upon the amount of wear). Weber can refurbish old screws using the WWP® alloy for armour plating

Hans Weber Service

Weber have a fully trained team of Installation engineers, electronic engineers / technicians and process technicians which they can send to any machine installation or breakdown which means from day one customers are in safe hands.

Plasticolor Spare Parts

Woywod keep in stock large quantities of all standard equipment, they can be shipped the same day if ordered before 10am UK time. This means the customer does not have to keep an extensive range of spare parts in stock.

Maintenance

In the unlikely event of problems occurring, Woywod can provide “Remote Maintenance” with “Online” access to your equipment.

Design

The Woywod engineers are assisted by state of the art computer technology and the best software programmes. Drawings can be sent in all common formats. When they design special parts such as extruder adapters which are not part of their standard design, Woywod submit drawings to customer for approval before production begins.
